Departmental Award Ceremony for 2017-18 School Year

Today was the Department of Comparative Studies' end of the year award ceremony! We gathered together to honor the outstanding achievements of all of our Comparative Studies staff, faculty, lecturers, graduate students, and undergraduate students. It has been a wonderful school year and we thank everyone who has been a part of it! We also enjoyed delicious food from Asempe Kitchen and Pistacia Vera.

  • Marilyn R Waldman Award for Best Essay by an Undergraduate- Nick Sunderland “Vehicles of Disease: The Political Economy of HIV in Southern Africa”
  • Runner up for Marilyn R Waldman Award for Best Essay by an Undergraduate- Amy Gutmann Fuentes, “Globalization and Food in Latin America”
