Lindsay Bernhagen received the university's Graduate Assistant Teaching Award. Ten are given each year through a lengthy process of nomination, application, and vetting by the Graduate School.
Assistant Professor Leo Coleman has been awarded a grant of $8,000 from the Mershon Center to fund the first phase of research on his new project, "Scottish Independence, In-Migration, and Political Belonging: Cultural Transformations in the New Europe."
Philip Armstrong, Associate Professor, has been awarded an Arts and Humanities Research and Creative Activity (RCA) Grant for his project, "The Emergence of the Tableau." The award is for $20,000.
Ph.D. students Ricky Crano and Andrew Culp have been awarded the Graduate School's Presidential Fellowship to complete their dissertations. Ricky's fellowship began in Winter 2011; Andrew's will begin in Autumn 2012.
