Keren Tanguay is a PhD student in the Comparative Studies Department. Keren specializes in Medical Ethics and is a Clinical Ethics Fellow at a local medical facility in Columbus, Ohio. With a background in hospital chaplaincy, Keren's dissertation interest includes the ethical challenges that arise in treating substance users in acute care facilities. Drawing on narrative medicine, moral philosophy, and social justice issues within substance use, Keren explores how various competing priorities in medicine, and outside of medicine, aid in constructing specific perceptions of this vulnerable population of patients.
