Semester Conversion for Undergraduate Majors and Minors

Ohio State has successfully completed its first full year under the semester system.  Majors in Comparative Studies, Religious Studies, and World Literatures have maintained the same structure and the same range of course (12 in all three majors).  

Requirements for the three undergraduate minors in  American Studies, Folklore, and Religious Studies have similarly maintained the same structure, each requiring 5 courses. 

 


The following tables illustrate how the change to semesters affects the completion of majors and minors (the Religious Studies major is not included because it began accepting students only in Autumn 2012, when the semester system was established):
