You are invited to Onda Latina Ohio's event featuring a reading given by Ashley Hope Pérez from her third novel, Out of Darkness.
 
Out of Darkness is set against a 1937 school explosion in East Texas and explores a secret romance between a Mexican-American girl and an African-American boy. At the heart of the novel are questions about how and where certain kinds of love are possible.
 
There will also be open mic opportunity for all levels of creative process - en el idioma que prefieras - for Latinas and aliadas/os!
 
We're also excited to announce our new venue. We're grateful to Columbus' Garden Theater for hosting us this month at Ethel's Stage Left Lounge at 1189 N. High St, Columbus.
