The Department of Comparative Studies is for students who want to explore how identity, power, and society shape our everyday lives. Our classes are built around active, engaged learning. You’ll ask big questions, explore different perspectives, and connect ideas across disciplines and experiences. Check out the classes that our Department offers!
As you take our courses and eventually complete your Comparative Studies major/minor along the way, you will develop the skills that employers value ― critical thinking, clear communication, and the abilities to see problems from multiple perspectives and navigate complexity with confidence. Because understanding the world from more than one perspective is essential in today’s increasingly connected society.
