Bishal Karna has been working since graduation as an Assistant Professor for the Department of Religious Studies at Nazareth College of Rochester, New York. Bisjal is grateful that he gets to study and teach things he is passionate about in his courses "Meaning of Death, Religion and Psychology," Meditation and Mindfulness," "Wisdom for Living: From India and China," and "Exploring the World’s Religions." In addition, as a volunteer, he teaches courses, such as "Spiritual Traditions of the World" and "Self-Compassion: Christian, Buddhist, and Psychological Perspectives," to elders at a local nursing home. Bishal also organizes regular intergenerational conversations on living and dying between students and elders. Bishal claims, "My work and community engagement fill my life with meaning and joy, as does my family life with my wife, dog, and cat. Life is good."
