Starting in 2019, Cristina worked as a Folk & Traditional Arts specialist with the Ohio Arts Council. In 2021 she began working predominantly on the partnership with the Central Appalachia Living Traditions project of the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation, which brings dedicated funding to traditional artists and practitioners in the Appalachian counties of Ohio, West Virginia, and Virginia. She also contributes to the OAC’s #TraditionsTuesday social media campaign, which highlights a different traditional artist or group every few weeks. Because that work is not full-time, in 2021 she had also begun working for Blind Eye Restoration, a Columbus company specializing in historic building conservation and consulting. She is currently the shop manager, where she helps train staff and shepherd projects through the various stages of the conservation process.
