The College of Arts and Sciences Student Council selected Dr. Isaac Weiner as a finalist for the 2019 – 2020 Outstanding Teaching Award.  This award is particularly notable because it is the only teaching award that is completely administered by students.

This year, Student Council received almost 275 nominations for this award.  Of those nominations they selected several nominees for further review.  This included a review of  the nominees’ CVs and SEI scores, interviews with members of Student Council, and classroom visits.  After careful consideration, Dr. Weiner was selected as a finalist for this year’s Outstanding Teaching Award.

As Vice President of Student Council, Niki Grotewold was charged with overseeing this process and previously notified Dr. Weiner of this award.
