Hugh Urban Awarded The Rodica C. Botoman Award for Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching and Mentoring in Humanities

Professor Hugh Urban was awarded The Rodica C. Botoman Award for Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching and Mentoring in Humanities this week for his outstanding investment in undergraduate education. 

At the awarding of the prize, Dean Shanda announced: "The Rodica C. Botoman Award for Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching and Mentoring in the Humanities carries a $5,000 prize.  Of this year’s winning professor, one student wrote, 'He always had time to spend with his students, and had constructive and awesome feedback for everyone during and outside of class.  He was an engaging and brilliant professor, and I count myself extremely lucky to have had him as my instructor.'  This year, after rigorous committee review, I am pleased to announce that the winner is Professor Hugh Urban in the Department of Comparative Studies."
