Congrats to Jason Payne, who was nominated for the 2016-2017 Provost’s Award for Distinguished Teaching by a Lecturer at Ohio State!

With 2000+ award-eligible lecturers at Ohio State, it is a great distinction to have been one of the few who inspired a student or peer nomination. The Provost’s Award for Distinguished Teaching by a Lecturer was established in 2012 upon the joint recommendations of the Academy of Teaching and the President and Provost’s Council on Women. The purpose of the award is to recognize the excellent and important work that auxiliary faculty in all colleges on all campuses do to teach our students. The selection committee for the award is composed of past winners and campus advocates for lecturers, along with representatives from the Academy of Teaching, the President and Provost’s Council on Women, the Council of Graduate Students, Undergraduate Student Government, and the Inter-Professional Council.
