As an invited speaker, Professor Julia Watson, Comparative Studies, presented "Getting or Losing a Life: Privacy and Online Self-Presentation" at the Cultures of Privacy conference of the Bavarian American Academy, Amerika Haus, Munich, Germany, on June 27.   

Earlier this summer she presented "Graphic Memoir as Visual Anatomy in Bashi’s Nylon Road" at the biannual meeting of the International Auto/Biography Association in Banff, Alberta, Canada, on May 30.
