On Tuesday, October 14th, Professor Katherine Borland visited the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she gave a talk entitled "The Aesthetics of Resistance and Solidarity". The talk was a part of a lecture series hosted by the Department of Comparative Literature and Folklore at UW-Madison called, "Only Connect?: Comparative Possibilities and Challanges". 

UW-Madison support for the lecture series is provided by Jay & Ruth Halls Visiting Scholar Fund and co-sponsored by the Comparative Literature & Folklore Studies Graduate Student Organization, the Departments of African Languages & Literatures and Gender & Women’s Studies, the Middle East Studies Program, and the Latin American, Caribbean, and Iberian Studies Program.
