I have been an Arts and Sciences staff member since 2005, first as the coordinator of one of the College’s Scholars Programs and then as an Academic Advisor. I’m now coordinating the advising group in Hagerty Hall where we work with students majoring or minoring in the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, Dept. of Comparative Studies, Dept. of East Asian Languages and Literatures, the Film Studies Program, Dept. of French and Italian, Dept. of Germanic Languages and Literatures, Dept. of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures, Dept. of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures, and the Dept. of Spanish and Portuguese. I’ve advised students within Arts and Sciences for over 8 years, and I enjoy the work greatly. I like interacting with students who are passionate about studying the liberal arts and want to make the most of their college education inside and outside of the classroom. I was interested in being on the Staff Advisory Council for several reasons. Mostly, I wanted to help increase awareness about resources and information that impact staff within the College. I also like the opportunity to meet and learn from colleagues across the College. When I’m not on campus, I can usually be found hanging out at home or around town with my husband and our two children.
